A series of interviews to celebrate International Women’s Day in March 2020 and the 30th anniversary of Cultúrlann McAdam Ó Fiaich. Three artists who have performed and exhibited in the centre over the years spoke to members of staff about their work.
1. Nuala Ní Néill – Actor, Writer, Director
Actress, director and writer Nuala Ní Néill speaks to Sinéad Colaim, Youth Education Officer in Cultúrlann McAdam Ó Fiaich, about her schooling in Meánscoil Feirste and her performances in our Siobhán Nic Cionnaith Theatre and in the McKenzie Theatre.
2. Eimear Nic Roibeaird – Video Artist
Video artist Eimear Nic Roibeaird tells Brónagh Fusco, Events Manager in Cultúrlann McAdam Ó Fiaich, about her work and her first professional exhibition in Na Ballaí Bána gallery in An Chultúrlann.
3. Therese Bann – Musician
Musician Therese Bann tells Caoimhe Ní Chathail, Marketing Officer in Cultúrlann McAdam Ó Fiaich, about her involvement with the centre, including the sessions and music community connected with An Chultúrlann. This video is a tribute to our loyal friend and supporter, Aoife Ní Riain, who passed away in September 2020.
